Siyamtanda Hlobo, Komani-born accountant turned tech businessperson, Brand ambassador and Reseller.
My
inspiration derives from a place of envisioning an empire that will be a walk-in
business midpoint for black entrepreneurs. A place with access to information,
technology and resources that will aid a black community to come up with
infrastructure & innovative solutions to build a better South Africa. I am
a brand ambassador for Yoco technologies & a reseller of their products. I
find the company to be relevant and vital because its objective to support
small businesses is unmatched. I run a company called EBDS (Eleglam Business
& Digital Solutions), the company has two divisions: Business development
and Technology. I assist individuals to turn their idea into businesses by putting
them into a program I have created or steps that I applied to build my
business. I help them to set up the business from having a business plan, feasibility
study, creating a business model, setting up system and so much more. I have
worked with 180+ entrepreneurs from different walks of life. The challenges
I have encountered is trying to break into an industry that is male dominated
and having to work tirelessly to prove my experience, capability and business
acumen. Another biggest challenge was lack of exposure, I work so hard to look
for opportunities and I shoot my shot if I have to. Young businesspersons shouldn’t
limit themselves when it comes to what they are passionate about, the best
skill you can possess as a businessperson is understanding people’s needs and
curiosity to enhance lives.
