Lizzy Mojela, 24 years old, a model.
I don’t think rural areas have enough to showcase its flairs, growing up in rural areas comes with a lot of challenges. I believe in developing hence directing my energy in initiating pageants in rural areas. At first, I wasn’t sure if modeling is really my thing because I was ridiculed because of my skin and height, and I opted for boudoir modeling. It was interesting and all that, but you know what they say, “go big or go home”. I started entering for pageants and guess what? I did well all in all. Modeling took me to places I have never imagined nor thought of rather. I believe I have what it takes to be crowned next Miss Lephalale. I come from nothing, and I believe we call all be what we want, it’s possible. Owning modeling agency tops my priority in fighting against odds as a rural resident, I want help those less fortunate. Youth unemployment rate continues to raise day-in and out, I think it’s about time youth come together for one reason: Creating jobs. I want to initiate employment agency whereby graduates basking at home will get help. I frankly postulate that we have enough arsenal to fight youth unemployment, only plan lacks. The issue of scammers can also be regarded as ripple effect to youth unemployment; people fear for their lives and money. To upcoming models: Be you and remember that you are a queen, own your throne and own your crown, be proud of your origin and don’t be ashamed.
